So I was outside this morning and saw this little beauty in the tree hovering between the flowers. I have never ever seen a white one and I thought y'all would get a kick out of it! Happy Thursday may you be blessed with a fantastic day!

This is what I found when I googled white hummingbird.
Leucistic Hummingbirds: Leucistic hummingbirds have black eyes, bills and feet, and their feathers may be pure white, whitish, off-white, partially-white, tan, or gray instead of the normal colors for that species. These are somewhat rare, but not as rare as the true albino hummingbird.

Ahah! Yes, the individual being leucistic would make a lot of sense... stunning little fellow!

Look how lush it is where you live, wow! It's so dry here. I think I need to move to the pacific northwest now.
LOL that is the lot behind our building. Our whole building is lined with those trees and we have others with huge pink flowers that are as tall as our upstairs rooms. Everything grows and blooms here. We don't have huge temp swings here so it is really about 60 degrees year round. Lots of moisture from fog and rain though. It is a beautiful place. The redwoods are stunning here as well.

Yeah I had thought of that.... My grandpa past away June 6th of 2010. He was like a dad to me being the only real male role model I had.. I always miss him more around this time of year. <3
They always seem to come when you really miss the person. My father passed 4 yeas ago and every time I start to feel lost without him a humming bird always flies to my face and around me. I feel the love when it happens. Thanks for sharing!!

I love it everytime I visit the west coast. I'm actually from southern California, but it's dry/arid there too! I need more green in my life.
