Pulling off Shed

The Wild One

Coda is on her shed right now but she was using her back foot to try and rip it off of her head. I we can’t pull off the shed ourselves because we could damage the skin underneath. Can’t she do the same thing? Should I try and stop it or just see what happens.

I would say leave it because in the wild they don't have little human hands to help with their shedding lol. But it is a good point that chams can pull off shed themselves(kind of) and wouldn't that hurt the skin too?

It is normal for them to do this. They will naturally get it off. The problem with us stepping in to "help" is that if a piece has not fully let go we can hurt them.
