Do the supplements have vitamin D3 in them? What form of vitamin A is in the vitamin powder? What do you feed to all the insects? Please be specific.
A vet visit with a good exotics vet IMHO is a good idea when the eye issue is not going away.

Caring for animals can be challenging and chameleons are said to be one of the more challenging. What I do when I notice something not quite right with any of my critters - I give it a short amount of time (usually a few days) to see where it goes. Some things go away quickly and are never seen again. Depending on the problem, I may try a bit of first aid, or I may jump right to making an appointment with a vet. If the issue resolves, I can always cancel the appointment or use it for a general wellness check and maybe a fecal.

I think I have done the thing by waiting a couple days but still keeping close eye on her and then doing a bit of first aid and now the e vet. We go tomorrow at 9:30.

You've done everything to try and treat her eye issues the best you could. But, eye issues with chams is tricky to diagnose, once it's been established.

Thank you very much. The appointment went great! They gave me prescription eye drops and I go back in 14 days. Marge didn’t use the bathroom at all so I didn’t have a fecal sample but the vet recommended some fatty foods to fatten her up because she was skinny (39 grams) I feed her black soldier fly larvae and horn worms so that I can get her weight up and get a fecal. Once she is at a healthy weight I go back to feeding healthy bugs but still I need to have a lot of variety. She is eating like a pig now and all I hear is the sound of her thick tongue hitting the plastic cup as she slurps up her slimy juicy thick worms
I also put I dropper in the day on a leaf in the corner so there is a constant water source for HyDrAtIoN. Thanks for all the help everyone and that encouraging message!

update: Marge ate 2 mealworms and 2 BSFL even though I offered her 12 meal worms and 8 BSFL. do you think i'm dusting them to the point she doesn't want to eat them? even so, she is still getting food in her belly which is the most important. I'm waiting to get a fecal to bring to the vet because we still have 2 weeks and we are 30 mins away from the vet so it is a bit of a hassle to go there just to drop off a fecal. if she keeps eating I'll bring one with her next week when we go. her eyes both are crusty for some reason which i will take a pic of later when I weigh her and give her her 2nd dose of eye drops. She weighs 39 grams as of yesterday so we're hoping she either gains weight or stays above 36 if she goes down to 36 or below for over 2 days then I will be worried. Hoping she goes back to normal.

You want to dust lightly. The bugs shouldn’t look like snowmen. Bsfl don’t need to be dusted at all. I put a sprinkle of supplement in the bottom of a deli cup and let the feeders move around and dust themselves. If it looks like they did get too much on themselves, the excess than be blown off.
Another common problem for baby and small chameleons is if their feeders are too large. They can’t eat anything larger than the space between their eyes. I prefer to give smaller feeders so that they don’t have to struggle to choke down their food.
Mealworms are ok in a pinch, but are poor as staple feeders. They’re high in chitin or to put it another way, they’re more crunchy outside than gooey inside. While I know all to well how crickets are the spawn of Satan, they are a good feeder option, especially since they come in every size.

Good to know thanks. Right now I’m trying to get her “fat”. But I will give her smaller feeders. My. Problem crickets as they don’t stay in her cup they can easily escape it and I’ve tried getting her a new one, but they were also able to escape that.

Update. She at 0 BSFL and 4 meal worms!! Do you think the BSFL just don’t move enough or don’t put think all the powder kills them or maybe makes Marge not like them?? Idk but would love to know. She has gained 3 grams and is now 42 grams yay! I just put her prescription eye drops in and she blinked a lot and then I misted her to help her eyes a little more and give her a drink. Her eyes are very crusty and I don’t know why. It just started when I put the drops in so hopefully it’s a good thing but I don’t know. I got a Timelapse of her today and she was very active. Even decided to do some branch climbing on very skinny pothos leaves and caught her self with on leg

Aww…breaks my heart when they are sick.Oh yea here are the pictures. I also feel her nose is a little crusty too and looks like it has discharge. I tried taking better pictures but my little SE doesn’t have the best cameraespecially after I dropped in mountain biking
Poor baby girl.Nose crusts may be snalt, which is nothing to worry about.
The eye crusts are either drainage or shedding - hard for me to tell which, but it looks more like shedding.
For the bsfl, they don’t need to be dusted with calcium. One of the reason why we dust with calcium at all, is because just about all insect feeders are higher in phosphorus than calcium, which kind of cancels the calcium out. So we add calcium to them. Bsfl are higher in calcium than phosphorus so they don’t need to be dusted at all. As for their movement, if you lightly mist them with water, they will move like crazy. They are more sluggish when dry.
