I sorta feel like it’s not going away but I think it’s shrinking. Unless she was just a dark color and it looked smaller. Sorry for the picture quality. My camera recently took a fall off my bike

I just gave her the eye drops for the first time today they just arrived in the mail. I put one to two drops in each eye although four in total for each eye because I kept on missing lol I’ll keep this up for about a week and then I’ll see if she changes at all. If I don’t see any improvement, then the vet will be visited.

They do have off days just like us. I have very social guys and sometimes they are like not today human. But with her also having an eye issue, do take that into consideration as well.

Thank you. Yea I was warned by some people on the tortoise forum and others that said chameleons were not good pets in that you have to take them to the vet more than others but that’s just what keeping animals is sometimes and I knew something like this MIGHT happen and here it is. It sucks but I’m learning valuable stuff and getting good experience! Thanks for the help

I have to say; my female vailed is way more standoffish than my male Jackson. They have such different personalities, it totally reminds me of humans.
Marge may also be more defensive, now that she's been treated for her puffy eyes.
Some questions to help us better evaluate.
Are both eyes still puffy?
Have you been doing the shower, and the drops?
Is she closing her eyes anytime during the day, for extended amounts, that you noticed?
Is she at all lethargic?
How has her feeding been going?
I don't think this needs surgery; but a Vet visit looks required for an expert to flush her eyes, and that may be followed by prescription eye drops.

So I wish I could send videos on here but. Yes both eyes are still puffy although they look sorta better. I haven’t done the shower but I have done eye drops. I feel I little nervous to do the shower because I don’t want to scare her with fear or burn or freeze her. I’d rather go to a vet and get a better analysis instead of showering her because it seems better. She only closes her eyes when she is sleeping (shocker) or when I put the drops and she closes her eye and it looks like she is looking around with her eye closed around. The reason I wish I could send videos is because I got a few very funny time lapse of her. She is so active and uses every inch of her enclosure. Her feeding has been driving me crazy. I give her 4-6 roaches a day and she only eats 2-3-4 roaches a day and some times only 1 or 0. I had to make an anonymous YouTube account to post videos on this forum. I wish there was a way to post videos, but that's a lot of data to store on a website. So, it's understandable that it's not an option to post videos.
That's totally fair about the shower, I'm not sure I'd be comfortable giving my chams a full shower like that too. But, I would give them an extra long misting, up to 30-40 mins.
It sounds like she's active, and aware of her surroundings, which is the best sign of all!
Feeding bowls can be a struggle, at first, to find what works. I tried a lot of DIY, and bought ones; but settled on this: https://www.petsmart.com/reptile/fe...ding-dish---reptile-feeding-dish-5328856.html
This feeding dish is nice, because you can remove the feeding part from the base to fill and wash. The only thing I found that gets out is bigger crickets. Which, are probably too big for the Cham to eat anyway...
If she's not talking roaches, have you tried any other of the bugs to offer her? My little girl is picky; and I have to give her a selection to choose from, she gets sick of eating one thing constantly.
I've tried to look into this puffy eye issue in the past, and it seems like a common generic issue. @LizardLurkin, has the most extensive posts about it on this forum.
But anyway; I hate to say, but this requires an expert Vet to look at to diagnose, and treat. I hope you keep sharing your experience, this is a known issue that needs better assessment with vailed chameleons.

Thanks. Is the feeder able to be attached to a screen wall? I just realized that I think she is bored of roaches. When I put super worms in there she chows down. I will buy some silk worms and put them in if she doesn’t eat soon. I will do an Extra long misting. I’m on school break next week so I will see if I can take her to the vet then. She is extremely active. Thanks for the help I will keep you posted.

Most chameleons can’t resist the allure of wormy feeders. Hornworms are irresistible to just about all reptiles, but it can be difficult to get them small enough and they are best as treats…not much nutrition to them. Superworms are always a favorite, but they are kind of the equivalent of reptile potato chips…fatty and best left as treats only. Silkworms are perfect feeders. So are bsfl, crickets are good and most chameleons love grasshoppers if you can get them. AFAIK, there are only 2 sources for them - Khai Phan on Facebook and https://dragonhoppers.com/
