Puffing up for no apparent reason?

So I just got home for work and my baby veiled chameleon was standing like this under his basking light. He was like this before I saw him, he did it fir about 10 seconds and then went back to normal. Why would he be doing that? There's no reflection or any other animals that would be threatening him.

Could he be about to shed? My cham will swell up as big as he can several times in a row when his old skin is ready to pop. It's hilarious to watch - he can go from normal to BOOM all white and crackly. It's less dramatic now that he's grown quite a bit, but when he was smaller, it was like magic. They can also get pretty grumpy when they shed, so your cham might cop an attitude while he's itchy.

I'm pretty sure he is about to shed, and I've noticed the moodiness haha but I'd be grumpy too if I was replacing my skin
