Puerto rico problems

Hi there comunity my mom bought me a terrarium with a fogger and a basking light but did not buy me the UVB, Now, I am from puerto rico and here is pretty humid and there is the same exact weather the entire year and the same sunlight would you guys recommend me to buy the uvb or just leave it that way? Please i need help my chameleon is about to arrive from the US thank you

If the chameleon is not going to live outside you will need the UVb light.

Yea, if he's not going to be living in a screen cage outside then you will need to buy a UVB bulb. UVB triggers the skin to make vitamin D, which aids in absorbing calcium into the bones. If you don't have vitamin D then you can take all the calcium you want, it's not going anywhere useful. So if your little guy is going to be living indoors, you will need to get a bulb like that to mimic the sun.

You can find them cheaply online in places like Amazon.com and have them delivered in a few days if you can't find any locally.

You live in a great place for a chameleon to live outside. However, you can use a reptisun 5.0 UVB blub. You can order them online if they are unavailable to you locally.
