Proximity to other reptiles

I'm finishing the enclosure for my new panther and have a question. I also have an adult bearded dragon that is in the same room my new panther will be kept in. How far apart do the cages need to be as to not stress either one out.

you might just want to put some type of barrier so your chameleon cannot see the beardie. I am not sure if the Beardie will stress your chameleon for sure. You can try and see. I would not have the cages very close. I have my two chameleon cages angled in the two corners of my computer room. They are about about 7 feet apart. That distance seems to work for me. It really depends on your chameleon.

Agreed, as long as they cannot see each other you shouldnt have an issue. My panther Gizmo likes to go say hello to the beardie when he is out freeranging. It gets the beardie all worked up.

From my experience. I havent seen any negative affects on either seeing each other from distances 6 feet plus. Like hoj said beardies will get all worked up and want a piece if he gets close enough but your chameleon shouldnt have any problem seeing him.

You can play the safe card and make it so they cant see each other or you can test the situation in question and go off what happens with your two.
