Proper care?

Hello! About a month and a half ago, i purchased a jackson cham. He is doing very well, considering he's store bought (I know, bad idea. There are literally no breeders in Puerto Rico that i could find). Hes about 2 and a half inches from snout to vent and he's starting to show a lot of green (especially when outside) When hes outside, i take the hose and mist hims cage gently. He is in a cage i made with hardware cloth. Is that safe? I'm afraid he would cut his foot or something, but i make sure he's all good. He eats a cricket a day and ocassionally, he eats 2. I have some fake plants and some real ones (umbrella tree leaf from outside, cleansed well). The lighting is simple. I have a UVB light and a heat lamp, but heat may not be a consern where im from. i mist him a lot to make sure its humid. NO subtrate. Already had problems with that before :)
Would any of you sugest something else I could do? i dont know. i always feel like im missing something :/
Thanks and sorry if it's long.

Hey, sounds pretty good so far.

My Jackson's was not a big eater, but he was full grown. I'm worried that he's eating too little for his age, and this may be temperature related. Are you measuring the temps? Jackson's do well with a hottest spot of 80-84 (mine liked it warmer), if it's a little too cool he may not have a fast enough metabolism to be hungry. Also, maybe offering him different food could get him to eat as well. Stuff like flies, worms, roaches are all great food.

Mine also liked a lot of water, so it's good that you hose him down. I used to have to mist mine for 20 minutes and he'd drink the entire time! So make sure you give him lots of water if he wants it.

Also, your English is excellent, but if you need/want someone that talks fluent Spanish don't hesitate to talk to me :) I have a few people that PM me in Spanish because they're more comfortable doing so.

Thanks! The heat might just be the problem so i will get a better one today. How much should he be eating? I thought it was normal for him since yesterday i nearly pressured him to eat two. But thanks! Really means a lot to me :)

He should be eating probably closer to 10 crickets, if not a few more. I've never had a young Jackson's, so I could be off, but most young chameleons eat closer to ten or more insects every day until they're older. If you get him a stronger house hold bulb that raises the temps a little he may get more hungry.

Ohh my gosh. Thats alot. But i made a mistake with the measurement :/ silly me! Hes like an inch and a half, maybe a little smaller. But ill take in consideration that he eats more anyway :)
