My chameleon seems to be not eating idk why because i feed it crickets and i have a whole set up kind like it was use to at the pet store(has the leaves and wooden thing for it to climb too) and it has its light(the one they gave me at the pet store).
it has a nice set up. except the cage is glass.but im changing that soon.
but then theres something else's wrong. one of its eyes are closed and the other one seems to have like a clear thing over it(but the eyes open)you cant see its eye really though.hard to explain. I
hope someone can help me.

please fill out the "how to ask for help" form
it sounds like he has a vitamin deficiency, are you using a UVB light? are you gutloading and supplementing the crickets?

check the "chameleon care" resources in the bottom left of the screen and make sure that you are meeting all requirements

Pictures would really help:( srry to say but most pet stores chameleons topically have problems also would help to know if the bulb Is a 5.0 uvb I would suggest looking at some websites and really researching what you need for a healthy cham

yes i do have the uvb light its right on top of the screen thing. but with the crickets i use the stuff they sell at the store. Its some powder stuff. but yes i have read each one of the things on the "chameleon care" and i have been researching and looking up all the things about how to have a healthy chameleon. i even went back to where i bought her. but they really didn't help. as like you guys are. but i think it could be because its not getting the the gutloaded crickets and its eye might need to be sprayed with saline, as it says on the "chameleon care" because it might be swollen or it might have an infection in its eye. i really hope not though. but honestly it seems to be that the chameleon was like that since i got it at the store. I dont think it got the right care. thank for the help though.

ok i will. and the stuff says calcium d3 got it at the pet store they had the powder stuff and this jello type stuff and how do i post photos?

If it contains d3, then it is to be used twice a month only.

THis means you need to purchase a plain calcium, with no d3. most likely from an online retailer.

flushing the eye with saline is definitely something to try if he is having trouble openning it. I've seen many pet stores using substrates in chameleon enclosures (which is a no-no) and it is possible that some debris got into his eye. You can also trying putting the little guy in the shower; just angle the spray so that it doesnt hit him directly, but he receives the warm mist instead.

I could only put one. I'm on my
Phone.

The stuff they told me to get the day I bought her. But she seems to be sick like now she really isn't moving and what. I just recently got her too. So I think that's she might of already been sick. But now she seems to be really sick( as in now I mean today).

Pet stores are for all intensive purposes... stupid. lacking in knowledge.

They dont know what they are talking about 90% of the time when it comes to chameleons.

You need to read the care sheet for veileds on here.

The cage. I'm going to get a all round screen one. And bigger one .

Glass isnt good for chameleons.

They need ventilation, i suggest getting a screen cage now.

The cham in question could have been sick when you got him, but he is dehydrated right now. that can cause issues with the eyes and why he wont open them

And I mist it 2 times a day. What they told me to do.

and they were wrong.

I have an auto mister set to mist all of my chams every 2 hours for 2 minutes.

so you arent giving enough water.

I suggest a shower chamber.

place a potted plant on the floor of your shower, aim the shower nozzle towards the wall so the water bounces off the wall and the mist lands on the plant.

place him on the plant and then sit there for about 20+ minutes.

it should get him drinking.
and if there is anything in his eyes it will help with that as well.

Thanks for the help ill do that right now. But now I know they don't really know anything. I just recently bought him. They told me it was a she. They were wrong. But yes I am getting him the cage with the screen today. But one more thing that I seen odd today his poop was really diff. Then the other 3 days I had him with me. I could post a pic. If necessary

How was it different?

ALso, you can tell its a boy because of the spurs on the back of the back feet.

It looks like a pimple or a heel. You can see it clearly in the pic you posted of him.
