problem with my panther, please help

I don't think he is still holding his head up. lyricalmiracle could you confirm that. you said he was normal except for the occasional pop.

How is he doing now?

EDIT : I would agree if he is not doing any better it has been long enough and a vet should at least be consulted.

yeah he was only holding his head up for about 5 minutes then continued to bask. he had a big drink and the pops seemed to grow further and further apart but i'm going to check on him in the morning and if there's still a problem i'll be consulting a vet, i will probably ring a few anyway just to see their opinion

thanks for all the replies, fingers crossed for the little guy

somebody said use softer feeders, what could i use? i'm from the UK so basically there's crickets, locusts, mealworms and not a lot more. would hatchling locusts be better? or are there any flies i could use? i assume that fruit flies are pretty small, but what about springtail/curly wing flies?

update:

he has been basking almost all day and is quite dark in colour. has been drinking and seems very alert. he has made the popping noise a few times when i'm around but not as often - though it is still happening.

he has only had 1 cricket to eat (that i know of), i'm only offering small ones from the box. after he ate he had to tilt his head back to swallow it, most of the times i've seen him eat he has been on a branch with his head up, so i don't know how normal that is. he turned his nose up at any food after the first one. he's also had a good drink.

i'm mostly worried about the colour, as he's dark, but he has been basking all day (well every time i've been in the room) and usually went dark to bask then would become lighter as he moved away from the basking spot.

Is it ever normal for a 3.5 month old cham to be making popping noises, turning away food, staying dark, and sitting with its head up? He is still exibiting all these behaviors. I agree with Kinyonga- get him to the vet ASAP.

yeah i was waiting for a call back from the vet and booked an appointment when they rang, i was just hoping someone knew what was wrong or had any recommendations of how i can look after him until the appointment
