Probably an odd question

but can chams eat figs ? I have tried a whole lot of different fruits and veggies, but so far Gizzy has tried only rocket and apple. She ate apple a few times, but then went off it. She will also have rocket once in a while, but goes off it too. I`m running out of ideas now so thought a tasty fig may be a possibility if it is safe for her. Anybody know please ?

Try carrots, my male loves it AND STRAWBERRIES, but not too often.
Other than that, try different sallad sorts. romanian for example.
Dunno about the fig part.

thanks Eyal, i`ll have a try at that, i have previously tried carrot, but she wasn`t to pleased about it. The Romanian salad sounds good as she seems to prefer greens.

Food for thought

My juvis love romaine. they attatck it. they arent big enough for me to try carrots yet.my male probably could handle it but im not going to try it. there should be a main thred with a list of all the vegi/fruit that is safe and how to prepare it for diff sized chams as well as the vitamin mineral content in them that way we might be able to identify easier what they are lacking in their diet and can supliment them in that area better.

Great advice thanks guys. I will have a look at the food charts now.

Courtney - Rocket is a salad leaf, you would find it among spinach, lettuce etc. Gizzy loves it when she is "on it". we have tried lts of fruit, but she always seems to favour anything green and leafy as her weeping fig trees soon found out I was cleaning her house the other day and removed everything out as i did i notice the parts of the plants we could not see had miraculously disappeared leaving huge bald patches. Gizzy looked very happy though

I feed romaine and other leafy luttuces. Broccoli is also a favourite vegetable for my veiled.
