Preparing my cham’s enclosure

Hey guys! I’m new here and and getting a veiled chameleon for the first time. I have done an extensive amount of research and before I buy anything I would like to run it by the experts.
Some people on here have said to have three vitamins: calcium without d3 given everyday, calcium with d3 given 2 a month and multi given 2 a month. i plan to buy 1/4 in crickets. Is that right? Is it bad to not feed my veiled Cham plants and worms as well?
Secondly, I will use the pressurized mister and mist the enclosure 4 times a day but make sure it is dry before mistings.
Do I need a humidifier?
I have both uvb and a heat lamp that came with the cage.
is there anything I’m missing? It took a lot of research and planning to convince my family to let me get one So I need to make sure I am making the best environment for my pet.
Thank you for your help!

1/4 inch crickets are fine for a young cham. You will want to feed a variety of insects and crickets aren’t the most nutritious option. The supplement schedule you laid out seems fine. Humidifier is a possibility depending on the humidity levels your getting naturally. If you got the chameleon kit, the lighting provided is no good and you will need a bigger cage in a few months. Pictures of your setup will help.

To expand on what Prince of Duval said...

- You want to feed your chameleon a variety of feeders. If you only feed your chameleon crickets, it'd be like a person only eating chicken for it's whole life. This video covers 10 types of bugs:

- How often you need to mist depends on your chameleon's response and the humidity in the enclosure. 4x a day seems excessive to me unless you live in a very dry climate. 2x a day for 2-3 minutes is the general recommendation.
- Do you have a hygrometer/way to measure humidity? That'll determine if you need a humidifier... most people don't.

- If the bulbs came with the cage/kit I can already tell you, you need a different UVB. Please watch the video below:

What are you gutloading your bugs with? What plants are you using? Are you providing hiding places? There is a lot more that goes into it.

Pictures would be SUPER helpful.

Hey I’m getting the zoo med reptibreeze cage. I will most likely be getting an older Cham my parents don’t want me to have a baby yet. So just to clarify I need to check my humidity levels to see if I need a humidifier or not and I should feed my veiled cham a variety of insects. Anything else? This picture of the cage is attached below.

Watch the UVB video. It will literally save your chameleon's life.

That kit is not good enough for an adult chameleon. It's too small. You'll want a 24x24x48" enclosure.

And like I said above:
What are you gutloading your bugs with? What plants are you using? Are you providing hiding places? There is a lot more that goes into it.

No it’s still on its way. I asked here about all this before they all came so I wouldn’t buy the wrong things.

when you get it together it would be a good idea to post a picture and make sure everything is correct before purchasing a cham. what will you use for lighting?

I have been told the uvb that comes with it isn’t good enough so I’ll get a different one and does anyone know if the heat lamp that comes with it is good?
