Preparing for my first chameleon, tips appreciated

Ok that may be my issue then.
The water isn't warm warm but it's more than room temp.
I was afraid of making it too humid in there for her but I guess I'll just blast it lol

Yup it will spike at 80/85% but it will drop with dry out . The important thing is there's a dry out in between Misting . I actually put a timer on so I know I really did it 4 to 5 min and we also have a climist .

She's hanging out in the hibiscus which is holding a lot of water on the leaves right now so hoping she'll find a nice little puddle to drink from

Ok I'm starting to get worried. I took her out to give her a shower and she's been opening and closing her mouth, spit up a bubble, and then started doing what I would call gagging. I'm so worried about her

Before the shower. I still tried to give her one but she kept trying to climb the plant beyond its height and fell down. I tried to hold her in the mist but she kept trying to climb up more.
I put her back in the enclosure so she can rest, I felt terrible already that she was gagging but after that tumble I feel terrible. Was about two feet onto a cushioned bathmat

Ok she was scared , this is all new for your baby girl . You do need to get her hydrated . Was she eating when she coughed the bubble ? How are her basking temps ?

She may have the beginning of a URI . She has some mucus . Do you have a good reptile vet ? She needs hydration for sure .

There's a reptile specialist about 30min away that I take my dragons to but she's usually booked for weeks out. I don't know how to give her water when she's almost refusing to drink. I've stood and misted her enclosure for much longer, I tried the shower, that's no go, I've tried dripping water on her nose. I can definitely see she's dehydrated but I can't force her to drink

You migh Have too . You might have to resort to a syringe . Let's see if @Andee , @kinyonga or @Nursemaia are around and can give some input .

No, no AC or vents near her. My home has no central air and my heating is water radiator which isn't on
Ok I'm sure you already knew that could be an Issue . Please don't feel I'm patronizing you :). Just coving bases . I would give vet a call if they can't see her maybe they can help with someone close . Her temps are pretty good she's young still 84/85 is good . Can you get small hornworms ?
