Praying Mantis

Happy Hump Day!
So was heading over to get my mail order crickets and watched the gardeners getting ready to cut some flowers. These flowers house praying mantis that I visit daily (there are usually a few). Thinking let nature take is course even if it is gardeners doing to cutting.

So after checking the mail box decided to look at this little tree and spotted a P________M _________. I knew you already guessed it.

So went in the condo to get my phone and take a few photos--- here is what I discovered. Many!!!!!
Thanks for letting me share.

Just so you all understand- I enjoy all kinds of critters and it is very hard for me not to collect them and 1. keep as pets and 2. feed them to my many critters that would love a change from crickets, worms, roaches, fruit flies and pellets. I will let them grow---THIS TIME.. hehehe:cautious:

Friday and was passing my mantis area (the gardeners did not touch this week) but decided to spend a little time before getting breakfast.
There were way more than I thought. I only look for green differences compared to the plant and sticks (their legs) where sticks are not suppose to be. Sharing my strategy for seeing them.
Most stuff I miss because I am not wearing my glasses, but today had phone in hand and glasses on.. LOOK OUT!!!!!!!!
1st pic is to show how tiny the place is..

Pic 3 was a hider but when I zoomed out I noticed what is on Pic 4 then focused for pic 5. ( I had no clue it was there).
said to myself : hey self, there are more than just green ones here. Re-focused strategy for looking. THEN!
pic 6 was found.
Then spotted a shed...

TO BE CONTINUED later

Wow! Super cool! I remember when I was In elementary school second grade we kept some as pets, then after a while put them back in the wild.

Why not have another "bug adventure"? A couple of years ago I hatched out a huge ooph from my garden, then fed them with fruit flies until they grew up. It's entertaining to watch them as they are straight up FEISTY even when the size of ants 🐜

Part 2 continued

Pic 1 & 3 Mimics the moths/butterflies on the plants (new for me to see)
Pic 2 juicy fly of some kind.
Pic 7 is interesting because there are actually 2 facing each other one green on the right and brown on the left.

Note: Went back at 1:00 and the majority were gone so think the eat and hid down below to stay cool.

Last pic--even caught one shedding.. Ching Ching!!!!
