Power Outage?

I've been reading up on some things and decided it would be best to make an emergency kit/box for my chameleon. We have power outages now and again but i want to make sure he could survive x amount of days without his proper setup. Is there anything i should keep in mind when building this thing? how would i sustain the proper temperatures for him? I want to make sure all is well and that he isn't stressed by being somewhere else for x amount of days.

Have any of you been in this scenario?
what did you do?
what will help you next time you are in a scenario like this?

I want to make good and smart judgement calls when it happens

Looking forward to seeing what you all have to say!!!:)

You could just set up a smaller more portable cage, put him in sometimes so he gets used to it,problem solved. Or get a generator,my wife saw my new generator and said ( oh that will be good next time the power goes out ) I informed her it was not for us but could only supply enough power for my reptile room and possibly a light and refrigerator. she was :mad:  :D :D :D

Oh that's a good idea:) i think my make one out of a crank power supply. get it all juiced up and not worry about it for a while. will be quite a project:p just wish there was an easier/quicker way to go about all the silly electrics of it. Something that could retain its power like an alternator without the need for gas or constant kinetic energy every so often depending on the power going out.
