Potting Soil?

Ok everyong im currently looking for good potting soil for my chams plants. My question to you is where do you get your potting soil? Currently im looking at buying a bag of Wal-Mart's Organic potting soil.

Avoid walmart! It may be cheap but they are not reliable. Go to, instead, a plant nursery of some sort, or even try a flowershop. They should have some there.

Thanks for the advice on the walmart issue. . . i'll try looking at some place like you've mentioned

I'd just watch out for Wal-Mart all together with all the scare coming from that place, I wouldn't buy anything that could come into contact with you or your cham for fear of cheap materials or chemicals used in making the product.

Lowes. It be great! I got a big bag of Organic potting soil there (filled two 10" hangers, 1 8" and a 12" with a bit left over) for only $5-7 or so. I've also gotten all my plants there, since the greenhouse manager is a great lady and a close friend. I nabbed a young Sheffelera for $3, and a mid-sized dracaena(sp?) broad leaf for $2.50 cause they'd been there for a long time.
