Possible problem any help?

This is our female veiled chameleon. We think this is a prolapse but not sure. We put vaseline on it to keep moist and we have a vet appointment next week . Any ideas on what to do before then?

Don't put Vaseline on it. If you want to keep it moist use K-Y jelly.
I agree with @Lennoncham ...it looks like something besides a prolapse.

When next week is the vet appointment?

Can you show a couple more photos of her from the side...I'm wondering if she has MBD. I want to see the front left arm in particular but seeing both sides would be even better.

Is it just me or does her foreleg and maybe the back leg (facing down) look a little deformed? Maybe just the angle?

@Urdeligirl Since your girl’s bone health has been brought up twice and I think she looks a little dehydrated (sunken eyes), I think it might be worth it if you were to complete a husbandry review. It only takes one seemingly small mistake to have major health issues with chameleons.
