Possible hip/leg problem...?

Hi everyone. New to the site so please redirect me if I'm not following procedure.
So here's my problem... We recently got another (#3) Veiled Chameleon and he appears to have an issue with his back legs. The store we got him from had him in a tiny (9x9x6) plastic walled cage that didn't appear to have a UVB set up. At first we were thinking that maybe his muscles had atrophied from lack of use in this tiny space, but I really don't think that's what's going on. He seems to limp, for lack of a better word, when he's walking and isn't the most stable when on his vines. It looks like as he's stepping forward with his right leg, his left hip drops and vice versa.
He eats and drinks fine, has a nice selection of gut loaded insects to choose from and otherwise seems healthy. Approximately 5 months old. Any suggestions on what could be going on with our new boy?

As you probably can't find out how he was cared for before, you don't know if he got the proper diet, supplementation, or lighting much of the time. Yes, a photo will help a lot, but its likely he has some nutritional problems going on. Or, an injury...are there any bruises or other injuries you can see? A different color on his back legs and tail?

Be ready to inform that shop that they sold you a sick animal.

No bruising or dark marks. His feet right above his tarsal spur do seem a little swollen, but I really can't tell. He's easily agitated and not quite hand friendly yet so I haven't picked at him too much. Trying to add a video I just took of him walking, but my phone is being difficult. Will continue to try and also add a pic of his feet

Pic of his feet... and the file type of video my phone takes is not allowed through this site so I wont be able to upload a video :(

You need to get him in to a vet.

It looks as if there is a deviation in the long bones near his tarsal joint. Sometimes photos are misleading, but the photos suggest swelling at both ankle joints. It is on both sides.

My gut feeling is he has fractures on both hind legs from MBD.

MBD is not something that can be treated without the help of a vet. It is a very painful disease--imagine how it would feel to have your own bones fracturing and then having to walk on them not stabilized.

I hope the pet shop you bought him from will pay for his treatment.
