Possible dripping system once a day, maybe a week?

To simulate a slow rain fall, would using an empty container and poking 20-30 holes in the bottom and placing it on top of Cham cage and filling it with water?? I thought the concept was a good idea

I did exactly that over my pygmy viv. Make sure you have good drainage and poke small holes so the water doesn't come out too fast or you'll just flood the cage. For my regular dripper for my bigger chams it's just one or two holes in a little cup that I fill up in the morning and it drips slowly for a good part of the day.
