Possible Burn?

When I bought my veiled chameleons, the male was finishing a shed. There was a spot on top of his head that seemed to not come off. Last night he went through a shed, but the spot seems to still be there. I'm just wondering if there was anything I could do. I put a little olive oil on the spot last week hoping it might loosen it. With the current shed and still a mark, I believe it was maybe a burn originally. Any suggestions?

When I recieved them on Jan 8th. You can see some residual skin on the head.

Can't really tell if it's a burn or not. Do you have any lights that he can get close to? Wait until he finishes his shed and post some more pictures.

BTW He sure is a cute little guy. :)

He has had this since I got him. I was hoping the shed would correct it. He still had a bit to shed around his face and head when I left for work. Maybe it will be gone. I'm thinking if it was a burn it should heal up and not even be noticeable when he gets bigger. Even if he has a scar, I will love him. Maybe I'll even name him "Scar".:D I have found it hard to pick a name for them. They wouldn't know it if they heard it, right? I usually just call them my "Baby Boy" and my "Baby Girl". I think it is so easy it might stick.

I came home and he went through a full shed including the head. I am now starting to noticing a curve in his casque. Can this cause possible problems if it continues to grow curved? It might be cute, but not if it risks his health. Is it possible it may correct itself? Time will tell. Here's a photo from tonight.

Well...it definitely has cute potential...

You might want to do the dreaded form and let people offer critiques of your care. It's possible there's a nutritional issue causing that.

I have a Fischer's with one really bent horn from pushing to get out of the communal baby bin. The horn has never corrected itself. I don't know if that's applicable to casques, but I suspect it might be as I believe they are of similar composition (but, I could be oh, so wrong).

Just out of curiosity what's the top of the cage like? I'm wondering if he's trying to get close to the light and pressing up against the cage top. It's just a thought.
