poor little boy =(

There's an adult male veiled at a petstore near me with severe MBD and gular edema, probably also gout by the looks of it. I told them, the assistant manager seemed concerned at first, but then brushed it off. The next time I went in i was talking to an employee cleaning reptiles, seemed knowledgeable, and he looked at the chameleon and said that guy is really cool. I said yeah but he's really sick and he goes yeah. They all KNOW he is severely sick, and are still selling him for $89 anyway! He also said they don't have a vet for their reptiles! and I have to work here once a week for my job! I wish someone else will come in and rescue him :(

That is really sad .... but what is even worse is once they sell him to someone that doesn't know any better, they will just restock with another Cham that will probably end up sick in their care. Do you have a local humane society that could go in to this store and take a look at him??

well he has only been there for 1.5-2 months, so he was like this before they got him. BUT they aren't doing ANYTHING about it! Which is the rediculous part, even though I clearly explained to the manager what was going on and what he needed. He goes "one I willl try putting him outside and see if it helps" There is a reptile rescue, but I don't think they are able to do that.

I would call and ask for the owners number from the manager. Then you will get his attention. Then that my drive him to do something when you tell the owner you explain countless times that you told him he has problems and doesnt care and ignored you several times. And let him know you are knowledgeable in chameleons. That is what I would do, its not fair to the animals that douche bags like that run the store and dont care about anything but numbers.
