Poop question??

Okay, Lenny, our 12 month old ambilobe has a poop issue...

Everything looks fine, but he only goes after we have taken him out of his cage and handled him. He will go every couple of days or so, but if we don't hanle him for a few days he don't go! Really, if we don't take him out for three days he won't go for three days. Then we handle him and Voila! Poop.

Anyone experience anything like this?

Dont know why he would do this, he may need more water and if he doesnt poop after that on his own, I would rub his tummy and get a damp warm towel and rub his butt with it this helped my chameleon.

very interesting. maybe you scare the crap out of him?

LOL !! that actually could be the reason, is he puffing up or just chillen?..maybe his basking temps are a lil low (maybe the warmth of beeing held helps stimulate a bowel movement)

Nope, totally chillin and friendly. Funny, he does seem happier afterwards! His basking spot stays around 88 with a second spot at 84 a branch lower.

Maybe he's just showing us who's the boss.
