Poinsettia for chameleon?

Hey, I have a pretty old poinsettia from last christmas and is is about 3.5 foot tall.I herd that is is mildly poisonous but to have an effect on say a cat, it would take about 200 leaves.Can I have this in my chameleons cage or will it hurt it if it eats some?Thank you for your reply!

Any other replies?I am not sure it would have an effect on him if he didn't eat a whole bunch of leaves.

Sounds like the sap is an irritant. Could irritate your chameleon's eyes and skin, especially since it would be living in/near the plant 24/7. I would not risk it. I'm sure it would be pretty, but not worth putting you cham through discomfort and irritation. Take it from me. As someone who has had to treat a chameleon eye problem, it is no fun for everyone involved. As someone who has had severe skin allergies, it is miserable.

Maybe set it up outside the cage for decoration. Or, use a fake one inside the cage.

Ok, I will use my money tree instead that is a similar size.People say that the branches are to week but there was one half dead branch Iand I coulden't even pull it off.It is still in the plant.
