Poinciana?

Cleaning up my yard, I cut some good sized poinciana branches and wondering if they are safe and/or sturdy enough in the long term for my veileds.

Delonix Regia, or royal poinciana, has mildly toxic flowers/leaves. Probably ok with the branches though. Just make sure the newly cut branches don’t touch soil because poinciana are legumes and will readily root, and therefor grow new toxic parts.

I’m just trying to avoid having to either look like a weirdo rummaging thru neighbor’s tree trimmings or get eaten alive by tree ants in the brush.

Royal Poinciana can cause issues in cats and dogs if ingested -- that being said it is native to Madagascar.
