thanks alot

I keep bearded pygmys and have hatched out eggs. I have used a method I got from a breeder and found it works very well and never had water in the bottom of my terrarium nor had a smell. I have been able to keep the terrarium active without having to change the substrate, only replant some of the plants when they have died. One I have had for two years. Be sure to put in some springtails and rolypolys to dispose of the poop.

Here is my blog on building a terrarium. I would include a pic but it is night and my guys are all sleeping.

can i feed them just layed dubia roaches the really small ones? because i dont want to feed pinheads to complicated:(

i need springtails and rolypolys?
will they get out and infest my house house or something?:p

No, they need moist dark places and lots of organic matter. They wouldn't survive just in your house.

The crickets are bigger than pinheads at least, up to 1/4". If baby roaches are that small then they'll probably eat them, but they'll have to be really small.

well there dubias and there pretty darn small there like a little smaller than half an inch, and can i keep one pygmy in a exo terra nano? cause i only want one and i know there small and i dont have alot of room so i thought the exo terra nano would be PERFECT!!!!

Absolutely! A nano is perfect. I have 2 of the small ones and 2 of the next size and I love them. They are easy to set up and keep. They don't take much more then a couple of squirts of water a day (gently) because they hold the humidity very well.

They springtails and roly polys are very small (tiny) and live in the soil and act like housekeepers. You don't even see them. If you have a small pyg then you need to feed it large pins. If it is full grown you can feed it 1/4". Anything larger and the crickets can harm the pyg. I haven't had much luck feeding it anything else. They don't take well to cup feeding and baby roaches or any kind of worms will dig down into the soil before the pyg will find it and eat it. They aren't fast eaters like the larger chameleons are, so I would be concerned with letting those feeders loose in the nano. I have had to take tweezers and fish out crickets that are a bit too large for the little guys to eat because I didn't want them to be chewed on by the crickets. I am always careful to only give them 3 or 4 1/4" at a time to eat.
