Please help! :(

Dude, chill out. You had no idea how to take care of a cham, probably still dont know the half of it.

Try putting your cham in the shower. Get a plant and put it in the shower, aim the nozzle at a wall so the water bounces off and goes on the plant. Leave him in the for 15-20 minutes and do this 2x a day. This will help rehydrate your chameleon.
You have a male btw.
Get him outside for a few hours daily so he can get some natural UV light directly from the sun. Its much much much better than the lights we use to keep them inside.
You're gonna need calcium WITH vitamin D3 to dust the crickets with 2 times a month. You will also need multivitamins to dust 2 times a month.
I'd also find a good vet in your area and take him.

Thank you so much! :) I will definitely try that and see what happens!!

that chameleon looks dead :/ dont be surpirzed if he does die. first off they need moving water they dont use dishes.!! veileds also like fruits and veggies. the light as everyone is saying should be 40-60w and do u have a uvb light? if not that could be the biggest problem as to why he is sleeping constantly. also you should get him an all screen cage they need humidity. as to male/female look at the hind legs do they have a spur? its like a little bump on the back? if u see his eyes open try LIGHTLY misting them with luke warm water someone had said they can absorb water threw thier eyes. plus if thiers infection it could help clean it out. you should try getting him to a vet as well. those pics are so sad. are you keeping temp and humidity up? cuz if humidity and temp are not in check he could have lung problems (another reason for constantly sleeping) no offense but you dont seem prepared for him. as they are not simple pets like dogs and cats.

Chameleons can absorb water through their eyes?

The sunken in eyes say he is very dehydrated, how are you misting? Do you see him drink when you mist? Do you have a dripper? The bulb wattage is high, but the important thing is what is the basking temp, and what is the ambient temp? You do not need a night time light (he needs his sleep!). You do not need night time heating at all unless your room temp is below 60F. He needs a nighttime drop in temp (like in nature).
The bumps could be an indication of mbd, so I recommend a vet visit no matter what else you do.

I mist him with a spray bottle and when i am gone i leave ice cubes atop his cage so they drip down. the basking temp is around 85 while the ambient looks around 74. Thank you :)

Dont think that is accurate. They will rehydrate through their skin though.

Someone posted on my thread saying that chams can push water through their eyes. I have watched my cham when I mist, and if some water bounces of the plants into his eyes it certainly looks like hes doing just that.

Hmm...i would love to see an article that supports that theory! Really neat if true!

Its rough to see posts like this. Too many times i see people coming to the forums for help after its possibly already too late. I wish people would check out the the cham forums before they get into the hobby.

But my biggest suggest about your husbandry would be the cage setup, i highly recommend getting a screen cage so he can at least climb on the sides of it. In one of your pics i see him on the ground there and it makes me :( also vines are much easier to attack at higher levels in the screen cages. Also maybe some real plants like a pothos or something. Im no expert, but others on this forum are and taking their advice and making the proper husbandry changes is something i would do asap. Good Luck!

Is the 150 watt bulb a mercury vapor bulb? Is it a heat source and uvb source in one bulb?

Those types of bulbs are intense and usually require being elevated a significant distance from the top of the cage. I know keepers that use them succesfully but they own uvb meters so they can measure the uv output.

Like mentioned that little guy needs a vet. Hope he pulls through.

Has anyone ever used pedialite for rehydrating a dehydrated cham? whether you make ice cubes or use it in a dripper?

i belive people use syringes/ eye droppers for that, pedialite in a dripper leading into the cage just seems like a huge mess that could be avoided, haha.

yeah they can rehydate threw thier eyes i read in a thread. of course they aint ganna go getting alot from it and still obviously need to drink same with humans. is that chameleon honestly alive tho? i mean it just looks dead. and veiled chams i dont admit to be a pro. im still a beginner my cham is in good health and i have bn reading atleast an hr a day about chams not just west usambara two-horned chameleons. all im saying is she made the mistake of getting a cham without knowing anything about them. and i aint faulting her for that when i was like 8 i almost got one for my birthday thank god my dad said no or i would have had an unhealthy cham. plus everything i said was just stuff you guys told me to make sure i had when i was getting zilla. i believe it was you who said "no one on this site cares about you. we all just care for the health of chameleons" or something like that. i babysat my friends veiled while he was away on vaca for a week. but since owning one i feel the same way you do wanting the best for them. i know if when zilla even looks dull in color i start to worry or even when he climbs upside down i worry about him falling.

The simple fact is that virtually all animals absorb or lose moisture though skin and mucus membranes, so increasing misting can only help.

sorry to say but hes most likely going to die i had the most coolest male ever one day he got bump a few weeks later my poor boy DIED
