please help

Hi!

So i have a male panther chameleon, and at the moment he his shedding his skin.... there other day i went in to feed him and noticed one of his eye was shut look like he had hurt it or it could be a invection... than today i went in and he was sleeping its now 5pm and he still sleeping we took him out to clean his cage he opened one of his eye and than went back to sleep in my hand....

is there somthing wrong with my little guy.... any help please and thank you
 
Please fill this out for us to better help you. Post pics as well, some of him and his eye if that's what's concerning you. He can be closing his eyes for many reasons so fill out the below and we'll try our best to help you :)

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
Location - Where are you geographically located?

As the above poster said please fill out the how to ask for help, it will help to identify if there is any obvious things that need corrected.

You said he was sleeping and it's 5 pm, has he been sleeping all day (or on and off throughout the day) or just now sleeping? Because my guys tend to head to bed a hour or 2 before lights out (tho most the time keep there eyes open till it's dark).

Sleeping on your hand shortly after being woke up does seem odd to me, I try not to disturb them after bed time, but on the few occasions I've had to they have always stayed alert till back fully settled on their perch. if they are shy they will sometimes close their eyes when stressed, but falling asleep that quick in your hand doesn't sound like normal behavior.

That happen to my chameleon
when he was shedding he was scraching his eye and next day when I see him his eye were close and keep diging ground so he couldent open his eye so my dad feed him with is smart head and we when to VET they give use some eye clear I use evey day for him and 2 weeks later he was pased away:( that day I cryed so much
