Please help!!

My friend gave me his chameleon and the chameleon has both of his eyes closed he wont open them and he keeps on scratching himself with a stick on the eye

There might be something stuck in his eye. Do you know if he has shed recently? Are the eyes swollen?

His eyes sometimes swell up and he starts to scratch his eye on the sticks

What supplements is he getting? Does he get multivitamin supplement? If so, what brand and does it have vitamin A in it? Also, what type of UVB light does he have? Is it compact?

He gets the vitamins it has vitamin A the UVB is coiled

It sounds like he may have something in his eye. Give him a very long misting (10 minutes minimum) with warm water so he can try to clean out his eyes. If that doesn't work, you need to take him to a vet. It may not be his only issue, but rubbing the eye on stuff is how chameleons clean out their eye turrets. He may also "puff" up his eye and swirl it around while you mist.

There is a lot of detail to keeping chameleons. Read the caresheets here in detail and do a lot of searching on the forum for more information. You need to make sure you are using the right supplements on the right schedule, check your temperatures and humidity, and gutload your insects well.
