Please help with my young panther :(((

I recently got a 4.5 month old ambanja male from West coast chameleon brothers. He is beautiful. However in the 3 days I've had him, he eats less than 6 crickets a day, and spends most of the day sleeping. I think he's sleeping, because his eyes are closed. He does still walk around his cage and move to his plant at night, but I know sleeping during the day isn't normal. He's already pooped twice and it looks perfect. I'm just worried about how few crickets he's eating in a day. Any incite is helpful, my main problem is his sleeping and not eating more than 4-6 crickets a day

He needs to go to the vet Sleeping during the day is not good at all.

You need to fill out the How to ask for help form. And get some pictures of him. Otherwise a vet visit would be smart too.

What temperature is the basking area set at? Until we have more information IMHO there's no reason to take him to a vet....it could be something simple to solve.

I agree, especially if you are using too strong a uvb with not enough cover.
