looking for any help.
Simone is not eating on her own.
First of all, here is Simone's info:
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled, Female, unsure of her age because I adopted her at petco. They said "he" was about year old. I've had her for about 6 weeks
Feeding - 6 to 8 small crickets in the morning, 4-6 meal worms also, repeat in the evening if they are all gone. gut loading my crickets with orange, cereal, & cricket food.
Supplements - I dust my crickets & mealworms with Flukers Calcium.
Watering - I spray/mist 3-4 times a day.
Fecal Description - NONE found in last few days
History - I got her from petco
Cage Info:
Cage Type - exo-terra size: 18 x 18 x 24"
Lighting - I use a 60 watt incandescent house bulb for basking, and a 5.0 zoomed reptisun compact bulb for her uvb. The lights are on from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Temperature - Around 80 to 85 Degrees F. Overnight it gets to be around 70 to 74 Degrees F.
Humidity - The humidity is around 60%
Plants - aritficial
Placement - in living room
Location - Rochester, NY
She laid 36 eggs on Sept 18th..I removed the bin & am now waiting to see if they appear fertile.
a week later I found another egg on the floor of her habitat.
I was wondering if she was eating properly, so I put them in a container, & she has not eaten them. I ordered phoenix & butter worm from mulberry farms & she will let me feed her (putting them in her mouth as she perches on one hand) & she does eat them. (last night first time several of each).
but no feces still. this morning she seems to be even less active. & her grip does not seem as strong.
I have a call in to my vet & am waiting for a call back. (she does lizards)
right now she is laying on my belly. watching me.
Update POOP
I put Simone back in her room & after a slow climb up & then back down the vine, she pooped. OMG! it smelled rank & rather than even try to describe it, I took a couple of pictures. there was even an live phoenix worm in it.
.
I am hoping that whatever is the problem has passed, I know I always feel better after emptying out.
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
my vet called & said to get a infared bulb for at night as maybe it is too cold at night, the temp has dropped at night here.
