Please help- sick chameleon

Im new to forums, but I have been on here to see previously answered questions before.

I have a 3+ year old male veiled chameleon that recently has been very weak and the back half of his body is dark dark green-grey.

He has been confined to the bottom of his enclosure, and is very weak too. This happened only a day or two ago.

i have been giving him gut loaded crickets, and meal worms coated with multivatimins intermittently. He has a long UV bulb that spans 50% of his space.

Looking at other posts, I’m worried about MBD or dehydration or constipation, but I haven’t seen anyone describe something that looks like what he has.

I have attached a photo of him along with his setup. But can provide more information if needed. FFE143DF-740B-4D46-B151-8EA37D17BC92.jpeg 5F02E1D7-53BE-4306-9A4D-901E48EAD588.jpeg

I can’t really help you with what’s wrong with your Cham. But I know you’ll need to fill out the forum. I’d recommend a vet asap.

Welcome @Jonathan.marquett I’m sorry to hear your boy is not well . Hope you find some help here . Could you copy and past . https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/how-to-ask-for-help.66/ . Be as specific as you can . It’s helpful to keepers coming on . Do you have an exotic vet ?? We can not diagnose Mbd . We can have suspicions but only a vet can diagnose and treat .

I would recommend a booster, usually that’s what a vet would recommend to you also, it’s around 12$ and can be found at a local petstore. I would see how he does with it.

It’s a Repti Boost, I give it to my chameleons when their sick so their stomach isn’t empty and they have the nutrients to get better.
