Please help - New future keeper

I am looking to get a Panther Chameleon but would like some help of a few things from experienced keepers.

I have a 4x2x2ft Arborial wooden viv. There is a circular hole cut in the top to sit a dome on for a basking lamp.

My house gets rather chilly at night (around 10/15°C) and would like to know the best way of giving night time heat to take the chill off. I was thinking maybe a tube heater or a reptile radiator? Or should I put a ceramic bulb and guard in there? I have 2 Thermostats which I can hook up to a timer to switch on and off at the correct times.

Are you in the UK?

A temperature drop to around 50F will be fine, that's 10 celcuis.

Don't forget, just because your house gets to 10/15C it doesn't mean the inside of your viv will. It'll keep the heat in from the daytime basking bulb with it being wooden, so it'll stay a few degrees warmer.

If you do need night heat, use a ceramic heater. You don't want any lights on when they're sleeping.

How are you providing the uvb source. Is there a hole cut for that as well?

Not sure about that uvb light. Most of us use 5.0 or 10.0 especially if you are getting a baby. Their eyes can be sensitive.

You won't need a 12% or UVB 10.0

a 6% or 5.0 will be suffucient.

Yes I'm in the UK.

So is the D3+ UV Flood 12% overkill or would it be ok?

The Panther will be roughly 3 or 4 months old.

Yeah 12% is overkill, 6% is what you want.

The dome and light look fine, you might want a thermostat on that though just in case 100w is too hot, then you can dial it down.

I think 12% would be fine if its a few weeks old
