it is a proper tank, but everything else is wrong with your set up. I hope your little ones survives and if he does, please as the others have said come back and we will guide you what to do to makes things right. let us know how it goes.

cherry, you need to know that MBD is not something that comes on in a week or even a month, it takes months to become something serious. Chameleons are great at hiding problems and frankly, people often mistake symptoms of MBD for "normal".

It was just a coincidence that things got so bad when you had control. Frankly, as you showed a lot of initiative in finding this forum, asking for help and getting the chameleon to a vet, if it survives, it will be because of the time you had it in your care.
