My Zeus came to me a week ago. He has eaten maybe 3 worms in 7 days. I took him to the vet yesterday and he has a mild URI, which we think he came to us with. He's on an oral antibiotic with a followup visit this Sunday.
He has T5 10.0 HO UVB, basking spot is at 93, ambient temp is 75 and his humidity (at this very moment is between 55-60%. The vet did send me home with carnivore care to give him until his appetite comes back. Feeding him is real challenge
Could the not eating be due to the stress of moving to a new home? Could it be due to the fact that he has a mild upper respiratory infection? Or could it be due to the fact that he is now on a hunger strike? I am very concerned, he only weighed in at 218 g yesterday at the vet so I would love some advice on how to encourage him to eat. I bought him some butter worms and wax worms yesterday and put those in a bowl up near where his perches but he does not seem in the least bit interested. He also crickets in his enclosure. Thought???? Suggestions????
