I need help with my cham! Caught him sleeping during the day for the first time!
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon -juvenile vailed chameleon been in my care for about three months now
Handling - once a day for like a minute or two just trying to get him used to my hands
Feeding - about 7-9 crickets and butter worms gutloaded with fresh oranges, potatoes, and kale
Supplements - calcium every day, D3 on the 1st and 15th and multivitamins on the 28th
Watering - home made dripper and mist twice a day
Fecal Description -poo looks fine pee look a tad bit yellow but not orange
Cage Info:
Cage Type - home made 4ft screen cage divided in half
Lighting - reptiglo 5.0 cfl and regular house bulb for basking
Temperature - basking spot 82 ambient temp about 75 high 60 at night measured with a digital thermometer
Humidity - 40-50, mist twice a day measured with a digital humidity meter
Plants - live plants one pothos and two palmore palms
Placement -in the living room, not a high traffic area in my cage is four feet and is about two feet of the ground
Location - California
Current Problem - I caught him sleeping during the day. my guess is that his cage might not be completely dark at nigh, he has a 12 hour cycle
he also might be a tad bit dehydrated his pee isn't completely white. He is eating right! Hes always on his basking spot moves around to eat and drink this is the first time i ever catch him sleeping during the day, please help me!
