I have a male 2.5 year old veiled chameleon who is concerning me extremely. He has 2 bumps on his nose that are hard to the touch and do not appear to be painful, he has swollen ankles that also do not appear to be painful, his eyes are draining, not sure if its from the bumps on his nose, his right eye is puffy, he won't throw his tongue anymore to eat, he has to get right up to his food in order to eat it, and when he does throw his tongue it appears to freeze while retracting.
I have taken him to the vet but we don't have the money to afford to bring him back. Plus the vet we brought him to didn't seem to really know what he was talking about. He said that the chameleon looked very healthy and that he believes he has a calcium deficiency so we gave him extra calcium for 2 weeks and nothing changed. We called again and he prescribed an antibiotic and again no changes... I don't know what to do anymore and I'm extremely concerned...

It sounds like your chameleon is in need of a vet ASAP. If you can not afford one you should consider giving him to the rescue group ChamEO so he can get the proper medical attention. Check out their website and give Elisa a call.
