Please help. Does she look ready to breed?

She is a 5-6 month old Ambilobe Female. She usually looks a little more tan and peachy color, I just kind of pissed her off going into her cage with my phone :p.

Please let me know. I've heard from several breeders you can start them off if they are ready around 6 months old, and some say a year... I don't think anyone really has the exact age narrowed down, but I could use some guidance.

Thank you guys!

We always wait until the females are at least a year old before we breed them. 6 months old is too young. Although females CAN make eggs at that young it is not healthy for them to do so.

well then I am glad I said something!

Her body still growing and breeding her too young will cause problems. I wouldn't want anything to happen to her.

=)

Ok Thank you so much Let me know if you have any more females from different sire then Bonzai! That are older!

We don't have any older females available .

I just got your email too.

I would wait 5 more months before you start to introduce her to your male.

Breeding is something that you don't want to rush. Your girl has a higher chance of dying egg bound if bred too early.
