I am in a serious pickle. My friends and I are doing a habitat for a science class.We have found several great habitats on this site. People have written about what to use on the floor of the habitats, but I really need to know what kind of plants to use. Does anyone have suggestions. We have a 30 gallon tank and need to fill it up. Please help!

ferns, pothos, schefflera, philodendron, ficus, small dracanae.

thank you. I was also wondering if we have layers of hydroton then charcoal then the soil layer about how thick/deep does each layer need to be.

1/2 to 1 inch each, if you are putting a chameleon in the cage make sure to seperate the layers with screen.
