Plants questions

sorry for all of the questions!! But are carnivorous plants okay in Cham enclosures? And I heard that the aluminum can be hard on feet...where would I find silicon covered screen?

I would not get a carnivorous plant AT ALL in a cham enclosure. There is the slight chance a baby or even adult could fall in and die. :(

I know they look cool, but please do not do it. Get a pothos, ficus, or umbrella plant.

Aluminum can be hard on the curious chams yes... Buy something like green coated gardening screen. http://www.directmetals.com/dm/wire_pvccoated.asp

Oh I'm not talking pitcher plants!! Venus flytraps are my favorites, and they'd love the same temp/humidity. Goodness would I cry if my cham fell in!! I have a pothos right now, and eventually will do Orchids around the base of a ficus =3

Even everyone you meet here will recommend against a flytrap too.

Actually, carnivorious plants are OK but I know some of them need a lot of light and don't get enough in an enclosure. If you do a search for carnivorous plants look for a thread started by forum member AllFallDown. There is a nice discussion about them along with some great pictures, plus you could PM the plant people directly for advice.

I had a venus fly trap and a small saraccenia and both eventually died.:( I just redid Omar's cage and added some orchids so we shall see how they do.
