Plants not Flourishing

for a few weeks my hibiscus has not flowered, upon research I see that it may need phosphorus/ fertilizer. I was wondering if any one came across this issue. will adding bone meal to my plants help ?

Be careful what you add ...you don't want the chameleon or insects to eat any of it.
yea that's why im asking if bonemeal which is a organic fertilizer is often used to add phosphorus to plants is safe for my enclosure. or possibly other people have other remedies to help plants flourish?

I'm more concerned about it throwing off the chameleon's phos levels, etc if it ingests the soil.

I mostly use pothos and I have been lucky not to have to do anything. If they start to look pathetic I get a new one and take the sad looking one out. I can then either rehab it or throw it out. You could do the same to fertilize the one in the cage. It could be used again once the fertilizer has been leached out.

Hopefully others on here will have some ideas too.

Your problem is very likely insufficient light. The Phillip's is okay for pothos and low light plants, but won't do much for your hibiscus. For strong screw in plant lights, I'd look into the Sansi lights (@snitz427, wanna give your sales pitch? :LOL:), or a JungleDawn spotlight, something along those lines. You may also consider getting ~2-3 6500k T5HO plant lights or similar.

@Elliot the Tree Dragon

I agree with GoodKarma in regards to the 6500K light.

Check out LLL, Biodude or similar sites. On those two sites, I remember seeing florescent light strip fixtures that came with a bulb. Don't know if they're back in stock yet.

Just make sure you don't get a UVB bulb on accident. Also, I always make sure to buy fixtures with bulb lengths that are easily replaceable, otherwise, you might have to keep buying fixtures. I know a bunch LED grow lights on Amazon don't have replaceable bulbs, so you have to buy the expensive fixture once the light dies.

Here's a good fixture that has multiple bulbs:
