my chameleon has lots of vines and hanging plants but they r all plastic i got a plant to go in but im not sure about the dirt! has it got to have a safe diffrent dirt before it goes in?

You don't necessarily need special dirt, though many people recommend replanting in organic soil without ferts in it. Either way you will need to cover the dirt with something. I, and most others, use smooth river rock that is pretty large, big enough that the chameleon can't eat or move it. that is all that's really needed. Keep the chameleon from ingesting the dirt and you are good.
