Plant pics etc (Good idea)

I don't know if this has been done or suggested on the forum before but I thought it would be a very good idea to have not only a list of plants you can use in your chams cage but pics as well so you know what to look out for etc. I go to garden centres etc and find a hard time seeing plants I can use as different names are given each time etc and there isn't always someone around to point you in the right direction (garden centers are huge and it's hard work walking from one end to the other looking for plants and or looking for staff etc) So some pics of the most common safe plants to use would be very beneficial in my opinion. Anyone else agree?

I still have not found much better to use then ficus and schefflera. They just seem to do OK with the light levels and watering.

what i do is go to home depot right when spring hits, they'll have the small 2.49 plants and you can find some treasures in there, they aren't really big enough to be a main plants but certainly an accent plant

they have pothos, schleffera, ponytail palms, snake plants, palmera etc etc

i brought to littel plants for £2.50 each and they was so small my veiled squashed them lol

I thought the plant pics were a great idea! Lets see some photos of plants OTHER than the ficus and the scheffelera (spelling) that people use in their enclosures.

But what about the plants that arent in the resource. yeah it has the common ones used but does anyone know about others you can use. What about like smaller oak, maple, peach, apple, and etc trees.

Google animal safe plants. You will get 1oo's of pages listing animal safe plants and non animal safe plants. Many of them are bird related sites because birds live in trees. Most work for chams too.

I'm currently testing out gardenia in one of my enclosures.



The branches are a little less sturdy than hibiscus, but I think more sturdy than ficus, and the leaves are larger than ficus. Oh and then there is the awsome smelling flowers. Hopefully this plant will turn out to be a winner.
