Plant light

Hello, so I'm thinking of getting a plant light. I would have it closer to the top of the cage on the side pointing at an angle downward so it will hit the plants closer to the bottom also. I just wanted to know if it's a good idea to get a plant light or if it will affect my cham in some way. Thank you

Plant bulbs are definitely great for helping out the live plants. I have one in my quad bulb fixture along with two bright daylight bulbs and then a UVB bulb. The brightness hasn't been an issue for my guy. He regularly hangs out at the highest point possible under the bulbs to bask and survey for any crickets.

I would just make sure that the plant light you use doesn't add too much more heat, and you keep the angle of the light pointing down. You wouldn't want it shining sideways into the cage.

That'll definitely be good. I think I use my heat gun more than any other tool for my reptiles. Makes it so easy to check that temps are correct and there are no odd hotspots.

I know, I love my heat gun. I had a weird little thermometer that was really bad at getting the right temps. It was like 10 degrees off from what the temp gun said.

Jungle Dawn LED from Light Your Reptiles! I have one and love it. They're super bright and encourage plant growth. All of my plants do great under it. It looks awesome. I highly suggest it.
