Plant light safe?

My cham really loves when the plant light gets turned on, he tries to climb out of the top of the enclosure to get it! Would it be ok to let him sit on the top of the enclosure right under the light? ( it is hanging from the celiling so there is space and its not hot)

yes he would be fine, but i might woder why he is so drawn to it. Is his uvb bulb good and basking temps.

That's strange.. not bad but strange.. to me at least cause my guy lived under his lights at the top and I put his plant light in and he basks to get warm then jets off about half way down and spends most of his day avoiding it..

His temps are good, he could just be trying to get out in general but I think he wants on top cause when he wants out he will go to the bottom. He may think its sun I guess cause he doesn't get outside everyday.
