I need help furnishing a 18x18x36 cage but cant find any 'tall' plants to get in there, I live in NH no nurseries are carrying anything close to what i need or see listed here on the forums. All I CAN get is pothos and more pothos... maybe i am looking for the wrong thing? What do you suggest, are there places that ship plants?

There are many plants that can be used in cham enclosures(visit a safe plant list for info) but my favorite taller is shafflera arbicol. Or " dwarf umbrella tree" always use organic soil with no fertalizers for all cham enclosure plants. Ficus and shafflera are gona be best for hight.

You could also try to raise the potho off the ground. In a safe manner of course. :D Chams don't hang out much on the bottom, if any. So if you got a sturdy stand to place the potho on and attached the long leaf threads overhead or attach them up the side of the cage, then you have a tall plant or plant matter higher up.

places up north dont cary many tropical plants this time of year because there is a low demand, so much so they are hardly available, if you can wait till around april you can grab a hibiscus or just about any of these plants for cheaper than they would cost you to buy online. also ordering online you have to pray for good weather and the plant usually gets to you a little scragally after the ride :p

Same deal here in the midwest I have had to special order stuff from the distributers in Indianapolis maybe you can talk to a local shop and they will put an order in for you from their distributer. Careful with the LLL plant mail order this time of year I got a ficus last month and the soil was frozen solid after it unthawed it just proceeded to die.

lllreptile ships plants. Get a ficus. Nice and sturdy. :)

This!

I will just make sure to purchase locally or wait for the warmer months. I am just using the Dead Ficus in my Crested Gecko Enclosure, as he blends in with the brown.

smpliprfct where in NH do you live. I live in Manchester. Our lowe's has dracaena, ficus benjamina, shefflera and golden pothos. I want a hibiscus but they probably won't have it till the summer

I had that problem here too, i found a schefflera at walmart, labeled "gold capella"...googled it and it came up as schefflera arbicola. Hope maybe that helps
