Pinellas county/Tampa Cham vet

Does anyone know of someone in the Pinellas county/Tampa area with chameleon expertise? The vet I am going to just seems to guess at issues and he is regressing and I want to save him.

I've called around the area and everyone says they treat chameleons but I've spent a lot of money going to a vet and he hasn't got any better. I want to get him right and healthy before he further gets worse.

I didn't see any for Tampa. Called Alfonso and got a voicemail

Dr. Alfonso no longer takes new reptile patients but here's a vet that sees chameleons fairly close to you.

The vet I am going to now sees chameleons as well. Just seems like they aren't as familiar with the issues as I'd like. I asked about what seemed to be water retention and was told it was water from fluids they gave him. It's most definitely gular edema... He's being treated for parasites now and I'm not sure if that would sap his energy but he slept most of the day. I just want someone that knows what they're doing to look at him so my boy will be healthy again

Dr. Anderson has been seeing chameleons for years. If you don't mind the drive for serious issues and surgery I go to Dr. Doug Mader in Marathon. It takes me 4 to 5 hours to get there but he is well worth it. http://www.marathonvet.com/about-us/veterinarians/dr-doug-mader
