I agree with Julirs. The vermiculite should be slightly damp and the lid should be kept on. You can see the eggs through the plastic. Keep them in the closet and don't even check on them for a month. Then don't take the top off. Everything looks good.

will do. I'm glad that everything looks ok.

Stefan, does your lid seal on there really well? I know I asked before but:eek: The container needs to be air tight besides the one hole you poke in it. The eggs do look good. I thought they looked a little yellow in the pics on your other thread but they do appear nice in these pics:D GOOD LUCK!

Regarding eggs

My veiled laid about 5 months back now 33 in all though 6 or 7 were clearly dead early on however in recent weeks they have some have swollen and some have gone darkish brown on the top but when i looked the other day two had hatched and are doing fine. Are the other eggs likely to hatch soon? and are the one's which are browning infertile p.s these are the first clutch.
cheers

why did you hijack my thread?

oh please, you used to do it all the time as a newb , they didnt know any better, I hope your eggs do well, and remember if something goes wrong its only because you messed up ;)

@ perry- eggs dont always hatch all at once, sometimes days or even weeks apart, so yes they should hatch soon. Next time make a new thread though ;)

hahaha. I have hatched none and neither has he it means nothing to get a cham gravid and them have it lay eggs (let me rephrase that, it means nothing to get a veild gravid and lay eggs) , the real test is how you can cope with the babies, and I dont plan on hatching any till Im ready, why does everyone think its such a big race to breed!

Clea..when your eggs start to hatch will you keep the babies in there untill all eggs have hatched?

No, you move the babies to a separate container/cage. Or often with veiled clutches, containers/cages.
