So my jackson wont eat crickets. He loves the blue bottle flies tho. I can put crickets i for 2days and he wont eat them. As soon as I put the BB flies in he goes nuts running around his enclosure. Im gutloading with the BB food from mantidpets I also ground some of the flukers cricket feed and blended it in with BB fly food. I know that the crickets are better than the flies. He does like the occaisonal silkie or mealworm. Thiss is a 5 mth old jackson we are talking about. Im going to broaded my feeders soon. Looking into roaches but dont know if ill get overwhelmed considering I only have one cham at the time. How much time is involved with breeding roaches?

My cham just went through a picky eater stage, it sucked! lol.
I basically tried feeding him everyday and if he wouldn't take, he didn't eat. He broke after 3days...lol.

Breeding roaches is very simple.
With Dubia roaches (Just assuming), you basically put them in a container with a good amount of egg crates and feed them (I've heard oranges to make them reproduce faster, but you can give them just about anything), and make sure they have something to keep them hydrated. Make sure temp is around 90 degrees on one side.
After that, they will do the rest. An adult female can have around 30 offspring every month.

Roaches are the best! They are simple to maintain once properly set up. I have 3 different kinds of roaches that I breed for my one cham (although I am planning on expanding). Anyway, I feed and clean out their bins once a week. It takes about 30 minutes total. You can save a lot of cost by shopping for your fruits and vegetables at a farmer's market and making your own dry gutload.

They're simple, quick, clean, cheap, and they don't smell! (But there are no guarantees that your cham will eat them!)
