My thoughts....

If you were told the first two older males are Ambilobe I see nothing in the pictures to say they aren't. They are gorgeous! And there is no reason why they can't be brothers. Colorations within a clutch of Panthers can vary widely. They never come out with the exact same coloration. I would be extremely proud and happy with the way those two males turned out.

Your little girl is adorable. Just adorable. Her personality really does come out in the pictures. The ones that are supposed to be Nosy Be have colors like my Nosy Be babies. They both look like males. The last picture shows a very mini tail bulge. Can't see the bulge on the first one but the lateral line looks male.

You've got a great group!

They look ambilobe to me also. The first one is going to have a spectacular amount of red/orange when it older. The orange on the corners of their lips is gorgeous as well. I have ambilobes with yellow/green lips and sky blue but I love that orange. Congrats.

Justin

EDIT: Where did you get gator from?

I agree with Ambilobe; the only other thing I can think of off the top of my head that would display that coloration would be an Ambilobe cross but, as PardalisGirl says, there's no reason to believe they're not pure Ambilobe if that's how they were described.

Lateral line.........

The lateral line can be an indicator. Not always though. Females don't really have a crisp linear group of oblong white patches that from a distance look like a painted line. They tend to have rounder more uneven series of patches. Some males have the uneven series as well. What I see in the second of three pictures tends to rule out a female rather than the other way around. Tail bulges are always the best indicator and it's surprising how young you can see a mini one if you really look hard.

wow thanks everyone...they both came from underground reptiles at least the brothers did..went in one night to look around a local private breeder was selling off my 2 male ambilobes and one ambanja....we too gator home then watched his brother grow up and finally decided to bring him home too....the 2 nosy bes are from there as well he said they were nosy bes and ambanjas in the tank and at one point he said they were crosses so only time will tell the NBs were not very healthy he got them for cheap cheap. Ryan knows we are suckers for rescues...one of them has a crooked tail like it got twisted at the base it still uses it fine no sweling and its hard bone ill keep an eye on it and try to get better pics of them up.....ill also find out where to get the ambilobe at he sold them at $150 ea at 3mths. how ever they are fiesty not nice at all very jumpy

i am extremely happy and proud of all of my chams

Crosses.......

Ambanjas and Nosy Bes at that age can have very similar colorations. It would be impossible to even guess what they were for sure. It's good that you know they may be crosses. When they become adults it may be fairly easy to tell if this is true.

I put all three of the babies in an exo terra with a repti fogger to see if they could co exist with one another...i know it wasnt a good idea...one of them the crooked tail wasnt doing as good as i would have liked... there is plenty of hiding and basking and its much eaiser to watch the humidity...now all three hunt and run and hide its so funny to watch...they get along reat and there is no puffing up unless someone is basking..the only issue i have seen is when someone wants to lick the water off the other...ill get some pics up of the set up up today...i do have to clean it out way more than the bins....every 2 days...water moisture builds up dont want it to mold i havent seen any yet so i must be doing something right

Male and female...

With the new pictures I'm thinking the crooked tail one is a male for sure and the other is probably a female. Females are often highly colored on the checks and have a dark colored area on the shoulder like these pictures show. That can throw people off when they see that coloring. There is what appears to be a very small fleshy area under the tail bone that tells me it is slightly possible that it's a male. If I saw them in person I could tell for sure. Pictures are sometimes a little deceptive in angle and lighting. In person you can see them at different stages of rest and firing up and see the tail area from all angles.

Your adorable little girl looks like she likes to gnaw on branches. I would put a little Neosporin in the tiny area that looks nicked on her gum line.

Tanks for pointing that out...I might not have noticed it...she likes to rub on the glass in the built up condensation......What do you think about the crooked tail...it drives me crazy...it looke worse when we got him but he was also very skinny then too

Crocked tail....

It's either a birth defect or he grew in the egg stuck in a weird position which made the bone structure grow or fuse in that position. It will never totally straighten out. But if you say it looked worse when little than maybe it will continue to look better with growth. It's not necessarily a genetic birth defect. As in people, some defects are passed to offspring and some are caused by DNA that is damaged during embryonic (neonate) growth before birth (hatching). Anyone that's hatched out a lot of babies gets a few things like that over time. Doesn't mean he can't be a stunner!

Of course not i have seen some pretty good looking men.. withiut limbs or in wheelchairs. etc and some who well you get the picture

I say the first 2 are definetly ambilobe by the looks of the pics. All of your little chams are adorable and pics came out great! I can't wait for more color to show on my baby ambilobe!
