Heres some pictures from my phone.. have had Zipo about 2 months now, lookin good so far. its getting kinda chubby.could it be gravid? its about 6" snout to vent, maybe 13"overall. super lazy but very alert and eat & drinks like a pig! I'll post some shots of its belly in the morning cause lights are out now

here are a couple more. hard to get decent shots with my phone tried to get a couple of its belly. any change in colouration or pattern when gravid? Zipo's a bit bigger than i stated earlyer...more like 8" snout to vent,16 or 17" overall and very round. eats like a pig & could just be growing i guess.

Beautiful mellers man. Did you get him/her as cb or wc? Because for only two months of acclimation time zippo looks real good. Great name btw. Congrats on the recent addition.

Zipos a WC. I went to buy bugs @ the local pet shop just as they were unpacking a shippment and bought it on the spot! dont really like the whole WC/importation thing but sometimes you just gotta give in, ya know?

Congrats on Zippo! Mellers are awesome. Mine, Asmar and Dayo, will celebrate their 1 year anniversary with me this month!! Their personalities are totally different. I know your gonna love yours!!

Very nice melleri... Looks good, nice resting color on it.

One thing that tends to stand out is the area around his horn. I have seen quite a few melleri and have not seen them look like that. The suspect area I am looking at would be on the left side of him in the rostral area. I see it on the right too so probably nothing just somehting I wanted to point out.

If you have not yet it would be a good idea to take it to the vet to be checked out. It looks to me that there could be a filarial worm under the skin. It may just be how it is but it is worth a look. Its a beautiful animal.

I'd make the cage bigger or free range. You can't give a melleri too much space!
